Reliable, robust and generic controllers
CBCU5 meets the growing demand for reliable and powerful onboard control units by centralizing intelligence and input/output management of cabin and body in just one device.
CBCU5 not only stands for great reliability and robustness, but also for a high potential for reducing cable harnesses, connectors, relays and fuses. It can be connected with up to four nodes via a powerful multiplex CAN connection. It can also be connected to instrument clusters such as the MultiViu® Professional 12 Generation 2 or the MultiViu® Compact 7 via an instrument CAN.
As a generic body control unit, CBCU5 offers a 12/24V LIN interface for cost-optimized communication between actuators and sensors in the vehicle. The device was developed in accordance with ISO 26262 and supports applications up to ASIL B level.

ZR5-A Controller
The central, intelligent and powerful controller with gateway functionality for on-board electronics
As a body controller, the ZR5-A can be expanded with the MUX5-B multiplex nodes and communicate with them via CANs. It also offers an efficient and powerful CAN structure for connecting various instrument clusters and driver's workplaces.
To achieve maximum flexibility, all CAN communication is based on generic objects and interfaces with a flexible data rate. The ZR5-A also offers a central gateway for EOL programming and diagnostics. The application is created by our customers using the model-based programming tool KIBES® LC3. The device is designed in accordance with ISO 26262 and supports application levels up to ASIL B.
