Vehicle Safety Testing

Testing is critical for vehicle safety. Crash-, sled-, and impactor testing, airbag deployment tests, structure tests, and sensorics abuse tests ensure that components perform optimally in extreme conditions.

We have more than 30 years of experience in system engineering and testing services for vehicle safety!

Our competences

Crash test facilities

Image of a crash test facility with vehicle, impact element, lighting, and camera in the front. A crash test facility enables comprehensive evaluation of vehicle safety through frontal, side, rear impact, and rollover tests, including natural embankment scenarios. These controlled tests are designed to replicate real-world crash conditions and validate the performance of structural components and restraint systems. All procedures strictly adhere to national and international standards such as FMVSS, VSTD, ECE, and NCAP, ensuring compliance and delivering the highest level of occupant and pedestrian protection.
  • Frontal, side, rear impact and rollover (natural embankment) tests.
  • All our tests meet national and international standards (FMVSS, VSTD, ECE, NCAP, etc.)

Sled facilities

A controlled sled system and state-of-the-art sled facilities are essential for the verification and homologation of restraint systems, seat systems, and energy storage components. These tests ensure that all safety-critical elements perform reliably under dynamic conditions. Every procedure is carried out in compliance with national and international standards, including FMVSS, VSTD, ECE, and NCAP, guaranteeing the highest level of occupant protection and regulatory conformity.
  • Verification and homologation of restraint systems, seats systems and energy storage systems
  • All our tests meet national and international standards (FMVSS, VSTD, ECE, NCAP, etc.)

Component testing

Out-of-Position (OOP) scenarios, airbag deployment trials, and ejection mitigation strategies are evaluated to verify system reliability. Additionally, tensile tests, structural assessments, and bumper pendulum tests are conducted to analyze material strength and energy absorption. These combined methods provide a comprehensive approach to validating safety systems and improving overall crash performance.
  • Occupant and pedestrian protection
  • Out-of-Position (OOP), airbag deployment trials, ejection mitigation
  • Tensile tests, structure testing, bumper pendulum

Testing services

Picture of a free motion headform. A free motion headform is used in specialized testing services to evaluate vehicle safety and compliance. These services include conformity of production checks, misuse and vehicle tests, and support for homologation and self-certification processes. By combining precise impact measurements with rigorous validation protocols, we ensure that all systems meet regulatory requirements and deliver reliable protection for occupants and pedestrians.
  • Services around conformity of production
  • Misuse and vehicle tests
  • Homologation and self certification support
