Integrated and active safety systems will bring significant improvements for future traffic safety. Based on active safety sensors in the vehicles or smart infrastructure information, active and Pre-Crash safety functions can be initiated before a collision takes place. Thus collisions can either be avoided or the collision consequences can be mitigated.
