AUMOVIO India surpasses 10 million Airbag Control Units milestone

AUMOVIO India

AUMOVIO India, the Indian subsidiary of AUMOVIO, has surpassed 10 million Airbag Control Units (ACUs) produced at its Bengaluru facility. The systems are supplied to leading domestic automotive OEMs as well as export markets including Japan and Korea.

The milestone coincides with the inauguration of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) line and the launch of the Integrated Safety Control Module (ISCM), highlighting our continued expansion in advanced safety technologies.

Growth driven by automation and localization

Since the start of ACU production in 2016, the Bengaluru plant has steadily scaled operations. Increased automation and a strong focus on localization have significantly improved efficiency and strengthened supply chain resilience.

Our transition towards increased automation, along with a strong focus on localization, has enabled us to improve efficiency and build a more resilient supply ecosystem, while continuing to deliver high-quality, safety-critical systems to our customers.

Today, a majority of components used in ACU manufacturing are sourced locally, supporting domestic production capabilities while maintaining high quality standards.

Strengthening the APAC footprint

With the addition of TPMS and ISCM, AUMOVIO India continues to expand its product portfolio and technological capabilities. The Bengaluru facility is playing an increasingly important role as a hub for advanced automotive safety systems in the Asia-Pacific region.
