Mechelen, Belgium, and Frankfurt, Germany, September 2, 2026. Technology company AUMOVIO today announced the completion of the sale of its Mechelen location to the Dumarey Group, following the intention announced on April 20, 2026. Under the agreement, the Dumarey Group takes over the Mechelen plant and its approximately 300 employees while customer relationships of the existing products remain with AUMOVIO. The transaction ensures continuity and long-term prospects for the Mechelen workforce as well as for the customers: The production of current components will continue for a defined transition period under a contract manufacturing arrangement. Building on the site’s strong manufacturing expertise, Dumarey will progressively introduce new activities and products. In parallel, AUMOVIO will gradually transfer production to other locations within its network.

Goal is to build on Mechelen’s expertise to develop the location further

The transaction is part of AUMOVIO’s strategy to optimize its global manufacturing footprint and align production with evolving market conditions. The Dumarey Group has decided to proceed with this acquisition to strengthen and expand its presence in the European market, enhancing its portfolio with additional technical capabilities. With its diversified, multi‑industry business model, the Group sees a strong strategic fit with the Mechelen site, known for its advanced expertise, skilled workforce, and solid quality performance. Dumarey Group recognizes significant long-term potential in this acquisition and looks forward to a structured collaboration with the Mechelen team during the transition phase.
