New MK 120 MAB expands brake portfolio to include powersports vehicles

One of the innovations being presented for the first time is the MK 120 MAB. With this new brake system, AUMOVIO is expanding its existing brake portfolio beyond traditional motorcycle applications. The MK 120 MAB has been specially adapted to meet the requirements of modern three-wheeled scooters, side-by-side vehicles (SxS), utility terrain vehicles (UTVs) and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs/quads).

The MK 120 MAB provides powersports vehicle manufacturers with a proven brake system that incorporates stability functions established in both passenger car and two-wheeler applications, including active yaw control and front- and rear-wheel lift mitigation. These functions have been combined with the unique vehicle dynamics requirements of vehicles such as ATVs. The system enables manufacturers to implement scalable safety and vehicle stability functions across a wide range of vehicle segments. At the same time, riders benefit from improved vehicle control and additional support in critical riding situations.

Broad portfolio for greater safety, riding enjoyment, and reliability

In addition to the MK 120 MAB, AUMOVIO will showcase a range of technologies that support safe, comfortable, and exciting riding. In the area of safety, the company will present, among other technologies, the Motorcycle ABS 2.3 Base, first introduced in 2025. Its particularly compact design, low weight, and optional integrated inertial measurement unit (IMU) facilitate access to advanced safety functions. The portfolio is further complemented by the MiniMAB EVO, a proven and especially lightweight ABS system that can be easily integrated into smaller vehicles such as scooters, mopeds, and commuter motorcycles. The system helps meet regulatory requirements in many countries that mandate ABS for vehicles with engine displacements of 125 cc and above. For the premium two-wheeler segment, AUMOVIO also offers radar sensors for advanced rider assistance systems. This technology enables functions such as adaptive cruise control, collision warning, blind-spot detection, and lane-change warning.

AUMOVIO displays offer high-quality graphics, flexible software architectures, and a variety of form factors to support different vehicle concepts.

To enhance riding enjoyment and comfort, AUMOVIO will present its portfolio of instrument clusters featuring display sizes ranging from 4 to 8.8 inches. These solutions offer high-quality graphics, flexible software architectures, and a variety of form factors to support different vehicle concepts. The portfolio also includes the Connected Infotainment Box, which enables motorcycles to remain connected even without an active smartphone connection, simplifying access to navigation, connectivity services, and digital features. In addition, AUMOVIO will showcase technologies for automated shifting functions based on an automated manual transmission (AMT). These solutions combine automated clutch operation and gear shifting with particularly short shift times, improving both comfort and riding dynamics.

Reliability is the foundation of all technologies showcased by AUMOVIO at EICMA. The company transfers proven development, quality, and cybersecurity standards from the automotive industry to the specific requirements of motorcycles and powersports vehicles. The result is a portfolio of robust solutions engineered to perform reliably even under demanding conditions. At the same time, manufacturers benefit from scalable platforms, high software reusability and the close integration of hardware, electronics and software.
